I went out to the garage and happened to run across a pair of my old hockey skates. Wow what a mess they were. Mold growing like whiskers in the boots of both skates. I thought this would be a good test for Funk-Out.
I filled a waste basket with about 3 gallons of water and added about an ounce of Funk-Out Laundry Deodorizer.
I dipped one skate into the mix. Sloshed it around a bit being sure I got the entire inside of the skate wet. This took maybe 20 seconds. Out of the mix came the skate. Was I surprised. The mold and what ever else that was growing in the skate was gone.
No Funk No Odor.
I then dipped my hockey gloves into the same mix. They are fresh as can be now.
No Funk No Odor. I just let the skate and gloves drip dry. People have told me they do this with their hockey pants, now I see why, it works. For sports bags, turn them inside out, dip them in the mix, let them drip dry.
